Beth Carter, an attorney who often did free legal work, a caretaker to countless abandoned animals and frequent donor to various charities, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in August and died in May. One of her sons, Jack, recounted how selfless his mom was throughout her life. “She had a very caring heart, and would do anything for us, no matter what,” Carter said. “She’d always put other people first, regardless of the circumstances. We cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done for our family. The event will be $25/person to run and includes a t-shirt with all proceeds going towards H.A.T.S.
